On
November 29th (2005), the house built by John Steward's
Construction classes was moved - no small feat when you
consider the effort to move an entire house a few blocks on
a semi trailer. The house was started back in late February
on the Wasco High School campus when no permanent lot was
available. It is a 1200 square foot three bedroom, two
bathroom house and was finished recently and moved to it's
permanent home on Cypress Avenue between Sunset and 9th. The
students in the photo (above) plus many others learned the
value of working with their hands and the satisfaction of a
job well done. The entire house was built by Wasco High
School students through the Construction Class at
North Kern
Vocational Training Center (NKVTC).
